Seefeld in Tyrol has a lot more to offer than stunning mountain scenery and great hiking trails - the culinary scene on the Tyrolean high plateau is equally impressive. From cosy alpine huts to gourmet restaurants, there is something for every taste. Here are our favourite dining spots.

Restaurants & Dining in the Village

Hotel Klosterbräu – Bräukeller & Weinkeller

Hotel Klosterbräu at Klosterstrasse 30 is one of the most well-known addresses in Seefeld - and offers two very different dining experiences under one roof. The Bräukeller is the relaxed grill restaurant with Austrian cuisine at fair prices (rated 9.2 on TheFork) - perfect for a casual dinner after an active day. For a more exclusive experience, head one floor down to the Weinkeller: a Gault & Millau awarded gourmet restaurant in a stylish vaulted cellar, serving upscale international cuisine alongside an exquisite wine selection.

Kracherlemoos

A real insider tip: the Kracherlemoos at Moosweg 758 sits a little outside the centre and wins guests over with its authentically Austrian cooking, warm hospitality and excellent value - average spend around 30 euros. Guests consistently say: everything was perfect!

L5 Restaurant

L5 at Innsbrucker Strasse 12 offers a relaxed lounge atmosphere with a surprisingly diverse menu: cocktails, vegan and vegetarian dishes, hearty pizzas and meat specialities. Ideal for a laid-back evening after a day in the mountains.

Seefelder Stubn

The Seefelder Stubn is a classic Tyrolean inn right in the heart of the village - welcoming, unfussy and with a kitchen that puts local produce front and centre. You can taste the difference.

Südtiroler Stubn

The Südtiroler Stubn at Reitherspitzstrasse 17 is something of a local institution. Traditional cuisine with a South Tyrolean touch, carefully prepared dishes from select ingredients and a fine wine list. Note: closed on Wednesdays.

In Between: Breakfast, Snacks & Sweet Treats

Nanny's

Nanny's is the perfect spot for a relaxed break: a generous breakfast, homemade cakes, light snacks and of course ice cream - something for every appetite and mood. Charming, laid-back and right in the village centre.

Alpine Huts & Mountain Restaurants

Hämmermoosalm

The Hämmermoosalm in the Gaistal valley is open year-round and easy to reach on foot. On the sunny terrace, Kaspressknodel, Kaiserschmarrn and other Tyrolean classics await - a must!

Reitherjochalm

The Reitherjochalm near Reith sits on the sunny side of the Karwendel mountains and serves excellent dumpling specialities and Kaiserschmarrn made from regional ingredients - with breathtaking views to match.

Triendlsäge

Family-friendly, easy to reach on foot, by bike or horse-drawn carriage, and famous for its wonderful Kaiserschmarrn - the Triendlsäge is a classic outing destination for all ages.

Our Tip

As guests of Apart Walser at Geigenbuehel you are ideally placed to explore all these addresses. Many are right in the village or within easy walking distance. At check-in we are happy to give you personal recommendations based on your tastes and the weather!
